A touch event occurs when the object detects touch. Every object on the GUI page can handle the touch event and make an event action assigned by the PC tool. For example, the button object can change the text, color, and button image along with changing the page or sending some data to the host controller. These actions are performed by GT-SP itself and do not burden the host during the event actions.
The host board can also manage any GUI object through a serial interface by sending a few commands, and can also change the text, color, size, position, etc. of the selected object.
The GT-VP series is suitable for applications that use a single board computer as a host board.
Works with popular single board computers like Raspberry Pi, Just plug in an HDMI, USB and power, the GT-VP will turn on as your touch monitor. (As long as your computer can handle Extended Display Identification Data (EDID), there are no additional settings or drivers are required.)

The Touch and Display commands consist of simple byte data and (ASCII) character code that can be sent through an industrial common serial interface (UART/SPI and I2C) equipped on a major microcontroller.

No it isn't. The display module is not designed to be waterproof, so the display enclosure must protect the display from water (and moisture). Please check the respective specification to be sure of the display's operating conditions.
Yes it does. The customer can adjust the touch sensitivity to meet the specific touchscreen conditions using the control commands. Also, the touch adjustment can be eased when the data called "Touch Setting Package" is downloaded into the Noritake GT series module. Please note that the touch sensitivity adjustment must be done with the final product because the touch operation may have some difference to the touch application's environment.
